90 Pound Suburban Housewife Drivin’ In Her S.U.V.

OK, ladies, don’t get yer panties in a bunch, I didn’t say this, it is the title of a very popular song, that was written by a pair of women! (From nearby (to me at least) Westport, CT, no less!) and is now making the rounds on both the airwaves and the Internet.
Yep, that’s right a couple of women apparently became fed up with smaller and smaller women driving larger and larger cars while yacking talking on their cell phones, and penned this ode to the modern age.
Written back in 2002 by life partners Rozanne Gates and Suzanne Sheridan the tune caught the fancy of the folks on NPR’s Car Talk who played it on the air, and that was enough to shoot it into the stratosphere.
90 pound suburban housewife
Drivin’ in her SUV
Talkin’ on her cell phone
Oblivious to you and me
Kids in the back seat watchin’ the
little T.V.
She’s a 90 pound suburban housewife
driving in her SUV.
Well, let me tell you that not only has this song been posted on their site and written up in numerous local and national publications (including USA Today, WTNH - News Channel 8, The Boston Globe, The Norwalk Advocate, The Fairfield County Weekly, The Westport News, and Westport Now. Com).
You seriously have to love this song:
She may be your neighbor
She may be your wife
She may be your mother for the
rest of your life
But one thing’s for certain, I think
you’ll all agree
With tons of steel and 4 big wheels
She’ll be drivin’ like an S.O.B.
So run, don’t walk, to your nearest iTunes, and download the song, then tune in to NBC’s The Today Show Friday, March 24, 2006, and hear the song for yourself!

Truly! Next thing you know, they’ll be making an animated film about cars talking to themselves, and they won’t even need people or the radio.!
