From Gizmodo comes a video that’s a must see for all you technogeeks out there. DARPA (the US government agency in charge of futuristic robotic things that will eventually be used to hunt you down and kill you) gave Boston Dynamics some $10 million dollars in funding, and BD produced Big Dog.

You’ll almost feel sorry for this thing when you see it slip and recover from a near fall on the ice or start to falter going down a hill. They’ve definitely taken the best from four legged mountain goat and programmed it in, and it is impressive. I’ve listened to this video without sound, and so should you. The sound it makes when running is loud and a bit creepy.
