Final Update: The storm veered to the right before hitting the coast, and did strengthen to a hurricane before doing so. Color me impressed.

I suppose my going outside and blowing east must have done the trick. Meanwhile, rain will eventually fall on parts of parched Alabama from this thing.

well, it's a bunch of rain.

EVERYBODY PANIC!!!

Okay, don't panic. Just keep your umbrellas handy. Winds at the coast might reach 40 mph.

Where I currently sit is on the dry side of this rain event, so if I get four inches, I'll be surprised.

The rest of Houston, especially east of town, should get around 10-12 inches of rain. Lovely.
