As I may have mentioned a time or 10 before, I’m one of the indexers for The Official Index to the Marvel Universe. This means that I get to read marvel Comics (specifically The Amazing Spider-Man) and write down very specific information about each issue I index.

This information includes the creative crew, the characters, locations, and items that appear in each issue, as well as a (very) brief synopsis of each issue. Each issue can be purchased at your local comic shop. Once our indexing reaches the current issues of the three titles we are indexing (Amazing Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Uncanny X-Men) the 14-run issues of the series will be collected into a hard-cover edition and be re-packaged for book stores.

Once this run is completed, we will start over and begin work on three different Marvel titles, once again starting at the beginning of the run of each title (from when it debuted, circa 1962 or thereabouts), and track it to the present day.
