Beck To The Future

Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

Glenn Beck, the ranting, raving, crying, pleading, chalkboard scribbling, looney version of Rush Limbaugh was apparently prophesied by a comedy sketch done nearly 20 years ago, by Dave Foley.

Here Keith Olbermann plays the sketch, and then later interviews the modern Dave Foley, who looks remarkably like Glenn Beck.
And both of them look remarkably like an old lesbian. Glenn and Dave, that is. Keith looks like a gay version of John Larroquette.

Yes, it does look like Beck ripped off the over the top stylings of Foley, who was unfunnily going for a bombastic portrayal of Rush Limbaugh. And Glenn Beck became this bombastic portrayal. Oh, Beck, you scary, scary man.

Well, we all know what a media whore that Sarah Palin is, and while none of us like negative publicity, she is especially sensitive to it (especially if she was the one who caused the bad press). Yeah, I’m so totally gonna vote for this one.

Not!

Oh yeah, and then there is also this.

Arianna appeared on "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" Friday and explained that Sarah Palin's refusal to call out Rush Limbaugh for his use of the word "retard" proves that she is afraid that offending the radio host and arbiter of the conservative movement could hurt her image.

Earlier this week, Palin called for Rahm Emanuel to be fired after he used the same word.

Arianna argued that Palin's decision to go after Emanuel, but not Limbaugh is all part of Palin's "cost-benefit analysis" operating procedure:

The Rebuttal is the thing

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

So, last week on The Daily Show, Jon Stewart slapped around Keith Olbermann for comments Olbermann made regarding Scott Brown’s run at the Senate seat formerly held by Ted Kennedy. Olbermann took exception to getting slapped around by Stewart, and had this to say.

Yep, it’s all in the rebuttal.
