Should I stay or should I shop?

Okay, I did my good deed for the day. You see, there's this crazy woman I've recently come to know, and she doesn't have too many friends. Crazy women have a tendency to scare off people, so I understand the self imposed loneliness. She lives on this tract of land that, well, I'll go into another day. But she has a lot of animals, and I was pressed into service to help her manage those critters. That took me a bit longer than I expected, and so by the time I got free and came home, I was tired enough to take a nap. Awakening semi refreshed, I came to the decision: Should I hang out here at the house, or go and see if there's something I can get at the store?

Most of the gas is gone. The EPA was contacted and a special dispensation made to allow additional gasoline trucks to come into this area so the area doesn't stay out of gasoline for long. If you haven't filled up by now, Houstonians will be lucky to find gas at all after the storm hits tomorrow night. There's an unused car in the driveway that has a gas tank so if I leave here in a bit (I must shop! I'm like a caveman hunter gatherer like that) and I find any place has gasoline still for sale, I'll come back home and fire up this old Nissan and see if I can fill 'er up.

On the way out to do my good deed with the crazy lady, I stopped off at the Igloo Factory Outlet Store. It's not really that much of a store, more like a room off of the warehouse that's located some five miles west of Katy. Literally located in the middle of nowhere, it still had a steady stream of customers, most buying 5 gallon plastic water jugs. I bought a square ice chest and continued on my way, later buying two bags of ice. I'm also part way finished with freezing my own gallon jug of water.

Until tomorrow night, it's just the prep.

The quest for supplies continues.
