Real Vampires among us!

I’m talking about a true mood-setting, worth-the-read vampire story that puts you in the place with these dark creatures of the night, and not just splays them out as pop stars of the underworld. Shawntie's stories truly capture the Gothic mood of of these seminal, blood-sucking beasts. making them more than just creatures of legend, but getting into their minds and hearts.
She sets the stage, and brings them to an undead life that draws you into the stories she writes and illustrates. she is really into this world of darkness and shadows, and her art is very stylistic and beautiful. Her story flows from page to page as it unfolds, and it is well worth reading.
I’ve known Shawntie for a couple or three years now, and I’ve come to realize that she isn’t just putting on this love of all things dark and Gothic, she actually digs this stuff. I’ve also had the pleasure of reading the three installments of her character Meth, as he appeared in #s 1-3.
The stories of Meth and Cain (the vampire in Am I Immotal) are intertwined in a way that I’m not entirely sure of all the links, save that Meth seems to be looking for Cain, and it isn’t because they are pals. I’m not entirely sure where Shawntie is going with her series, but it is clear that as both writer and artist on her story, she has a vision for what is happening and where it is going, and the characters that populate it, and she is relentlessly pursuing it.
Meth’s story will continue to unfold from Guild Works Production, while the story of Cain will unfold under the umbrella of Free Lunch Comics. Personally, I’m excited about all of this for her, and eagerly await the next round of installments.
I recommend that you visit both the Free Lunch and Guild Works, websites and gobble up the existing copies of these comics and settle in to enjoy the ride.
