My lovely wife has a non-fiction book coming out this September 5th, and to celebrate, I’m giving one copy away.

Complete Idiots Guide To Writing Erotic Romance

The Complete Idiot’s Guide To Writing Erotic Romance

Now, for the Impossible Part of this contest:The book is not on the shelves as yet, and as such, you won’t be able to answer this contest, except by either guessing, or going to the bookstore and being the first person to find it and then opening the book up.

You’ll find a way…

So, in the comments, answer this question: Located before the Appendices of the book, what’s the last word in the book? Feel free to guess. It’s a fairly common word, and not completely inappropriate for the book itself. Each person/IP can have up to five different guesses, but each guess should be in its own comment.

Obviously, since I don’t have free books to give out, I can only give one out when I steal one from Alison’s very short pile of free books… I suspect I’ll actually have to pay for one out of my own pocket.

So, if you accidentally guess the word before the book comes out, you win and I’ll close the contest. If you pick up the book at the bookstore to get the answer, I want to know the details of where and when… In any case, first correct response wins! Only one winner. And if you bought the book, you don’t get to give it away to someone else. Sorry, North American addresses only!

  1. I already know that even if I do win, Walt won’t actually send me a copy because it will look like a fix, but I’m gonna guess anyway.

    There, I said it.

    The Perfessor

  2. Heh, I like his word better.

  7. Sorry, Laurie! No winners yet! Has anyone actually gone to the bookstore to see if the book has come out earlier than Sept. 5th official release date?

  8. Hey Walt,

Checked out B&N here in south Florida…disappointed because it’s not available!! Hopefully soon!!

  9. Thanks for looking for the CIG, Laurie! I’m sure this contest will come to a quick end soon!

  11. entertainment

I went to my local Borders today here in Georgia and they did not have the book on the shelf…until I asked about it…then they found it and put it out…I opened a copy up and looked in the book and “entertainment” was the last word right before Appendix A (which was the Glossary). I did not buy the book though.
