Halfway Mark on the Brava Novella Contest
by Walt Posted on Dec 10, 2007 under Books |
As of the post this morning, the Brava Novella Contest has reached the halfway mark in posting the finalists for the Reader’s Choice Award.
You can read the finalist entries on this forum thread at the Brava Authors Forum. We’re posting two finalists per week, and they’re usually posted on Mondays now.
When we finish posting all 20 of the finalists, we’ll set up a method to vote on them and that will determine the Reader’s Choice. The only way to vote will be to actually become a member of the forum; all voting will be based on the BravaAuthorForum member name, so as to be fair.
I’ll refer all commenters back to the forum to discuss the Brava Novella Contest.
For those not familiar with the Brava Novella Contest… Well, I’m probably not the best to explain things — Suffice to say it has helped the publishing careers of at least a few authors, and I hope it will continue to do so.
Disclaimers:
I have been a volunteer in this. That means I get told what to do, but I don’t get the privilege of being paid for it. The judges were all volunteers as well, and reading the entries and deciding which ones got through took some effort.
Brava is an imprint of Kensington Books.
BravaAuthors.com is a collection of… well, that’s pretty much explanatory.
