Today, by the time you read this, my eldest, Dylan James, will have been in and out of surgery for a deviant, er deviated septum. He has always had what is termed “Childhood Asthma.” It was really bad for a time while he was in elementary school (seems that mold in the school sets it off) but then it seemed to go away when he was in Middle School.
Well, this year (sophomore, in High School), it came back with a vengeance, and knocked him out for over two weeks for the first semester. This resulted in him bringing home his worst-ever Report Card I’ve ever seen from him (all Bs and 2 incompletes — yeah, he’s that good).
Anyway, today, he went in to have his nasal problems corrected by surgery. (Oh, the pic is a “self portrait” that he took at the hospital w/my cell phone.)
Well, he’s out now, and home, resting. He’ll probably be home for a better part of a week. Hopefully, he’ll be able to return to school, and not have this problem ever again.
