In regards to the Spider-Man storyline, that is an alternate universe Spidey, and not the â€œrealâ€ one on (in case anyone actually cares). It appears in a four-issue, Prestige format book entitled Spider-Man: Reign. Also â€” truth to tell â€” the storyline (althought a riff on Batman: The Dark Knight Returns is quite good. Translating Mike, he's being cute as well as obtuse, bringing up the concept that if you're trying to clone something exactly, you have to have a very good look at where it is and where it's going, but by looking at it that closely, you change where it is and/or where it's going. Or in other words, it's like herding cats.
