Sorry for the hit and run here. Work and frivolity took place over finding really cool stuff to chat about this last week.

The global warming stuff is moving right along, and by moving along I really mean falling all apart. Climate talks in Copenhagen have come to a stop, mainly because the grubby hands of the poor countries have tried to force the hand of the richer countries, and the richer countries have balked. Apparently, it really WAS about money.

By now, there's several fingers pointing in several directions over whether the Climategate emails and data fudging code were leaked by an insider or hacked by the evil Russians (The data was first seen on a Russian FTP site). While I've leaned toward the leaked idea (mainly because of some technical issues a few other people have spotted) there's a link discussing a possible motive from fairly high up in the climate researcher's group - a possible mole in the highest echelon. You have to become familiar with the players, to really get it, but the leaked emails from just a few months ago illustrate a split in the climate group. Sounds like someone decided to think independently...

"Go On, Be A Tiger" -- that's the advertising slogan associated with Tiger Woods and Accenture. Well, it WAS associated with Tiger.

And here's Tiger's most important sponsor, showing a total lack of support for Tiger.

A special tax on the ugly with money.

I'm not sure who will end up using these, but apparently they're legal now.

A do it yourself book scanner. Yes, you too can become as hated as Google Book Search!

Finally, what words sum up this last decade?

Are there any that you think have been left out?
