Remember when I said that they were filming a buncha films here in my area? Well, Not only did my daughter get to meet Raven, but today she got to meet Robin Williams (Old Dogs).

Now, that’s a motley-looking crew, eh?

Here’s the close-up. Recognize anyone?
Humm, that cute gal on the end looks familiar…

If someone can be considered nearly famous simply by associating, or knowing someone who is famous, then I’ve got it made in the shade. You see, I know people who know people.
First off, you know that my daughter met Raven on the set of her latest flick, and that some time back my cousin David Gere met (and acted with/for) Tom Cruise and Steven Spielbergon the set of War of the Worlds, well David has also been quite busy these days. He worked with Spielberg againon the new Indy Jones film.

He also worked with Sly on the set of Rocky Balboa.

With Leonardo DiCaprioon the set of his his new film Revolutionary Road.

With John Travolta on the upcomingOld Dogs.

and with Steven Segal on Marker.
David is a very busy guy.

If you read my previous postof my daughters brush with fame, you will have seen how my lovely daughter got to meet Raven-Symon, while she was filming her new Disney film, College Road Trip, with Martin Lawrence, here in Stamford CT.Well, not only did she manage to meet Raven, but she got a couple of picts of them together.
Well, the following night, my two ladies returned to the set (with a friend of Ks), and they managed to get the two photos autographed by Raven.

Cool, eh?

CT has become the new Hollywood, or so it seems, this past summer there have been several movies filmed in CT, many in and around my home town. These films include The new Indiana Jones film (Indy 4), A Mathew Perry flick, an Oprah flick, and a pair of Disney films one staring John Travolta and Robin Williams (Old Dogs) and a second with Martin Lawrence and Raven-Symoné Pearman (College Road Trip)
Through an odd and interesting set of circumstances (the production unit contracted to rent out space where my wife works to feed the crew, and to park their trailers), put my wife in contact with their site coordinator. This lead to my wife arranging for my daughter to meet with Raven, who my daughter has been watching for years on her Disney TV program, That’s So Raven.

Who’s cooler than my daughter, eh?

I could be wrong, but there’s nothing here I want to see. It has that same vibe I got when Hulk was sucking so badly. Zero chemistry with the audience. Well, no, the audience at SDComicon was hot and bothered, but as far as I’m concerned… meh.
See what you think and tell me there’s something here that couldn’t have been done for a TV show.
UPDATE::: Annnnnnnndd It’s Gone!

A poor quality rip of the teaser trailer that should be shown this week at Comicon and probably in front of a movie premiering this weekend (The Simpsons Movie?)
Watch it quickly before Warner Brothers pulls it.
UPDATE: … aaaaannnnnnd it’s gone.
UPDATE: and the official version!
