OVERHEARD–
After watching the latest movie trailer for Speed Racer,
a voice of a college age boy sitting right behind us to his pals:

“Man, that started out pretty cool,
but it got pretty gay pretty quick”

Alison and I both laughed out loud at that.

I really enjoyed HELLBOY the movie. I had never read the comic, and so wasn’t disappointed with any of the changes from the source material, such as Hellboy’s relationship with the flame girl.

It’s great when you’ve got a good old fashioned monster movie getting ready to air — especially when it’s done in this fashion you can see below — the BLAIR WITCH PROJECT first person fashion. It has a great vibe to it.

Sci-Fi has put on just horrible shows of late, giving full seasons to abominations such as FLASH GORDON

… But perhaps they can make it up with the reimagining of WIZARD OF OZ, now entitled

TIN MAN

How they managed to get Richard Dryfuss to play “The Wizard” is anybody’s guess, but it’s nice to see that meeting the Wizard is not the ultimate goal. The ultimate goal is to rid the place of the evil queen, the Queen Bitch of the O.Z.
