At my advanced age I’ve come to realize that embarrassing my father is no longer a competitive sport, Embarrassing my son is nearly impossible as he has (at 16) achieved an impenetrable Zen-like state of Nihilistic self-denial and simply can’t be reached. My 12-year-old daughter is way too easy to embarrass (all I have to do is stand next to her and, well, breath — heven forbid I do something as drastic as, actually talk to her (or worse, one of her friends).
As for my wife. Yep, I can embarrass her, but not without some form of retribution.
